AiLex Law is an AI-powered legal search platform for Rwandan legislation. It lets you ask legal questions in plain language and receive AI-generated answers grounded in actual laws, with full citations to specific legal provisions. It supports English, French, and Kinyarwanda.
Our answers are generated using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), meaning every response is grounded in actual legal text from our database. We provide inline citations so you can verify each claim against the original law. However, AiLex Law is an informational tool — for specific legal matters, always consult a qualified legal professional.
AiLex Law indexes over 3,403 Rwandan legal documents, including laws, organic laws, presidential orders, prime minister's orders, ministerial orders, and regulations. This covers 56,154+ individual articles with 18,994+ cross-references between laws. We continuously update our database as new legislation is published.
AiLex Law supports three languages: English, French, and Kinyarwanda. You can ask questions and receive answers in any of these languages. The platform interface is also fully translated into all three languages.
AiLex Law offers a free tier with limited daily queries. For more extensive use, we offer Individual, Professional, and Institution plans with higher query limits and additional features like API access, bulk document export, and team accounts.
Our legal knowledge graph, powered by SovGraph, maps the relationships between Rwandan laws — including citations, amendments, repeals, and succession. When you search for a law, the graph visualizes how it connects to other legislation, helping you understand the broader legal context.
Yes. AiLex Law offers a lawyer connection service that matches you with qualified Rwandan lawyers for professional legal advice. After receiving an AI-generated answer, you can submit a request to be connected with a lawyer who specializes in the relevant area of law.
We accept MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) for local payments in Rwanda, as well as international credit and debit cards via Stripe. Both monthly subscription and pay-as-you-go options are available.
