How It Works

Type your legal question in English, French, or Kinyarwanda. Our AI understands natural language, so you don't need to know legal terminology.
2. AI Searches the Law
Our retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline searches across 3,403+ legal documents to find the most relevant provisions, using semantic search and cross-reference analysis.
3. Get a Cited Answer
You receive a comprehensive answer with inline citations linking to specific articles and laws. Explore related legislation through our interactive legal knowledge graph powered by SovGraph.
Data Coverage
Our database covers Rwanda's legislation comprehensively, including laws, presidential orders, prime minister's orders, ministerial orders, and regulations published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda.
Rwanda's Legal System
Rwanda operates a civil law system influenced by Belgian and German legal traditions. The Constitution of 2003 (revised in 2015) is the supreme law. Below it are organic laws, ordinary laws, presidential orders, prime minister's orders, and ministerial orders. Rwanda's legal framework has undergone significant modernization since 2003, with comprehensive reforms in criminal law, commercial law, land law, family law, and labor law.
